Development and implementation of effective, safe and environmentally friendly packaging solutions for food and other products are undoubtedly important and extremely relevant especially in our turbulent times.
We are proud of the creative and enterprising youth people of our University, who understand the importance of this issue and contribute to the development of the packaging industry.
Over 50 scientific works of creative youth from our and other universities in recent months have participated in the competition of scientific works on topical issues of the packaging industry.
According to the results of the competition, 11 works won, and their authors presented their achievements at the Jubilee, 20th Student Scientific and Practical Conference "Golden Chestnut", which took place at our University on November 12, online.
We are proud that among the winners are our students - Vladyslav Kucheryavyi with the work "Design and technology of packaging for a set of accessories for gadgets" (mentor - Associate Professor Nataliya Kulyk) and Dmytro Daniuk with the work "Mechanical gripper based on bionics functional capabilities for group packaging operations ”(mentor - Professor Mykola Yakymchuk).
The Golden Chestnut Conference is organized annually by the Club of Packagers of Ukraine together with our University.
The conference was opened by the director of the Engineering and Technical Institute of our University, Associate Professor Serhiy Blazhenko.
The Honorary President of the Club of Packagers of Ukraine Valery Kryvoshei made a welcoming speech, noting the importance of training specialists for the packaging industry and thanking the conference participants for their fruitful work.
Oleksandr Dyshlevyi, a representative of DOW company, a sponsor of the conference, expressed his support and gratitude to the young and promising scientists.
Oleksandr Gavva, Head of the Department of Machines and Apparatus for Food Production of our University, was the constant professional moderator of the Conference.
The authority of the conference is constantly growing, and the work of its participants is relevant today, it was confirmed by the interest in the Conference of our foreign partners. The Vice-Rector of the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University Vladimir Pozdniakov, the representative of the Kyrgyz-TurkishUniversity, the specialist in microbiology and ecology associate professor Ruslan Adil Akay Tegin, as well as the creative youth from Stefan cel MareUniversity (Romania) and the University of Ruse (Bulgaria) expressed their positive impressions about the presented developments and their authors.
In conclusion, the organizing committee awarded all participants with diplomas and certificates from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Club of Packagers. We once again attract the attention of our youth to the importance of developing and acquiring competencies that are important for future careers. Research and inventive work while studying at the University with the support of our scientists will always contribute to the development of your professional abilities and will guarantee an interesting and rich student life.
