Scientific and Research Work of Students

Nowadays the National University of Food Technologies has developed a system of organization of research work of students as part of training, which is aimed at the formation and implementation of creative abilities of future professionals.

Research activities of students at the University are carried out in three main areas:

• research work, which is an integral part of the educational process and is mandatory for all students;
• research work carried out outside the educational process;
• scientific and organizational events: conferences, competitions, Olympiads, etc.

The organization of scientific and research work of students is carried out at the following levels:

STUDENT SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY:

• Organization and holding of the first round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers, control over the execution of the order.
• Organization and holding of the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad, control of the order execution.
• Conducting the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad and the second round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers (According to the orders of the Ministry of Education and Science).
• Awarding the winners with diplomas, prizes.
• Participation in conferences, seminars.

STUDENT SCIENTIFIC CLUBS (AT THE LEVEL OF FACULTIES AND DEPARTMENTS)

• carry out work according to the departmental plans approved at meetings.

At the meetings of the clubs theoretical issues are considered and applied research is conducted according to the directions of research work of the department. According to the results of research, under the guidance of lecturers or independently, students publish abstracts and articles in scientific journals, participate in scientific conferences and seminars.

Students of the National University of Food Technologies, starting from the third year, are involved in the implementation of state budget and economic contract research work, international projects. During the bachelor's and master's theses, students communicate with researchers, get acquainted with modern areas of science, and various conferences, competitions and Olympiads both at the University and abroad summarize the results of such creative work.

Student scientific clubs, interest clubs, problem groups, scientific and information bureaus work effectively.

In order to expand the horizons and constantly maintain relations with specialists of domestic and foreign enterprises, well-known companies, regular thematic lectures, scientific seminars, workshops, summer schools, trainings, etc. are held.

The most talented students who have achieved significant success in research receive nominal scholarships and awards.
