The Coat of Arms of the National University of Food Technologies is a French shield of blue colour, fitted into a golden decorative cartouche, in the heart of which there is an emblem of the University which corresponds to the philosophy of the educational institution.
On both sides of the shield there are shield-holders that are allegoric figures. To the right of the shield there is the figure of Mercury (Hermes), the God of farming, trade, technology (technical equipment). To the left of the shield there is the figure of Demeter, who is the Goddess of fertility, agriculture and prosperity. They symbolize the basic principles of the University. Heraldic shield is topped with the words "NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF FOOD TECHNOLOGIES" and the symbolic "Heraldic crown" from oak leaves (a symbol of mature strength, courage, valour) and a wheat ear (a symbol of fertility, prosperity, vitality). At the foot of heraldic shield there is a motto ribbon with an inscription in Latin: "FIDES, TRADITUS, HONOR" (faith, tradition, honor). Under the motto ribbon there is a wreath of oak leaves and wheat ear, these symbols coincide with the symbols of "Heraldic crown".
The designer is Oleh Kravchenko, a member of Ukrainian Assosiatioin of Designers, academician of the Ukrainian Academy of heraldry, trademark and logo.
