As they say, it is better to see once than hear a hundred times, and this is true. Therefore, according to the cooperation agreement with the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and thanks to the personal efforts of a great friend of Ukrainian students and Ukraine, Professor Stefan Junge, the students of educational program «Computer technologies for design and manufacturing of packaging» Olha Romaniuk, Tamila Sylenko, Kateryna Pekarchuk, Yevheniia Babenko and Sofiia Tsekhanovska, together with a group of German students, made a big tour of leading enterprises in Germany that specialize in the production of various packaging materials and packaging. The group got acquainted with the features of design, manufacturing technologies and printing design of metal packaging at ThyssenKrupp Rasselstein and Ardagh Group, paper and cardboard packaging at Weig Karton and Edelmann, and glass packaging at Verallia Germany.
The girls went to visit with gifts - these are Ukrainian candies in packaging designed by the internship participant, Yevheniia Babenko. The cardboard box has an original design: after opening it turns into a beautiful candy box and advantageously presents the sweets. The packaging design is made in national colors, the ornament is stylized as Petrykivka painting, and the name "Love Ukraine" is a line from a famous poem by Volodymyr Sosyura. Specialists from German companies are pleasantly surprised by the gift.
Knowledge gained from theoretical information, conversations with company specialists and what they saw at production sites will contribute to improving the training of our students. In addition, the girls will have unforgettable impressions from walking around cities and towns in Germany, getting acquainted with cultural heritage and communicating with German students, who have become true friends during this time. For the impressive results of cooperation between the NUFT and BHT, Professor Stefan Junge was awarded the NUFT Rector's Certificate of Gratitude!
