The department provides training of competitive highly-qualified specialists in economics and management for the food industry enterprises, as well as other public and private institutions on the modern labour market.
Rapid development of market relations has led to close and deep contacts of domestic business with foreign partners. Consequently, creasing demand there is an in for professionals of interlanguage and intercultural communication who have professionally oriented language skills and abilities to work effectively with their business partners in making contracts, organizing exhibitions, fairs, and establishing cultural ties.
Specialists of the department teach the following disciplines: Foreign Language for Specific Purposes (English, German), Business Foreign Language (for specific purposes), Foreign Language (business course), Business Communication in a Foreign Language at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Economics and Management and the faculty of Automation and Computer Systems.
The main activities of the Department: to organize and conduct entrance exams in foreign languages for further studies at a postgraduate course and practical classes in foreign languages for postgraduate students and applicants for the preparation to candidate’s examinations in foreign languages in the above-mentioned areas of study, to participate in organizing and conducting entrance examinations in foreign languages to study for "Master’s" Degree (full-time and part-time); to improve the content of teaching according to the latest achievements in science, engineering, technology and production.
The teaching process is provided by highly qualified and highly experienced teachers, as well as by young specialists. In order to improve the efficiency of the educational process, teachers combine traditional and interactive methods of teaching, use role-plays and business games, which allow to use communicative approach in the teaching of foreign languages to non-native speakers and greatly increase the students’ interest in learning foreign languages.
