The Department trains specialists on the Bachelor’s and Master’s educational and qualification levels in such specialties as «Marketing», «Advertising and Public Relations», «Entrepreneurship, trade and stock exchange activity».

Graduates of the Department work on the positions of marketing, sales, advertising and public relations managers, heads of the relevant departments, as well as specialists in the development of strategies for sales market expanding, market research analysts, experts in the efficiency of entrepreneurship and marketing, advertising experts and merchandisers.

The Department of Marketing is a friendly team of experienced researchers who train highly qualified specialists for food industry and other areas of economics. The achievements of scientific and technological progress are intensively introduced into the educational process. In particular, the Department has a separate computer lab with marketing software, and a specialized lecture room with modern equipment to conduct lectures in relevant disciplines.

The University provides students with the possibility to undertake a work experience internship and pre-graduation practical training at the leading enterprises of food industry of Ukraine, such as Private Joint Stock Company «Obolon», Public Joint Stock Company «Carlsberg Ukraine», the Rosinka Company, «Zhytomyr meat processing plant», bread-baking complexes such as Public Joint Stock Company «Kyivhlib» and the others.

An important direction in the work of the Department of Marketing of NUFT is collaboration with CEDIMES International Institute, in particular with its educational institutions such as Paris-2 and Paris-12 Universities, University of Bordeaux (France), University of Toronto (Canada), University of Bern (Switzerland). The Department staff is actively involved into international colloquium, held by this organization. In accordance with the agreement concluded with the CEDIMES International Institute, the Department of Marketing arranges additional courses (according to the curriculum of the organization with the prospect of learning at graduate courses in France) for the students who are willing to obtain French Master’s Degree Diploma.

The subjects of the research work of the Department staff cover the following main areas:

  • The development of the theoretical and methodical positions and practical recommendations to ensure marketing planning;
  • Theoretical and methodical approaches to the complex development of modern business in the conditions of globalization of markets;
  • State regulation of social security and the ways to overcome poverty in Ukraine;
  • Strategic priorities and prospects for the domestic food market development;
  • Modern marketing technologies.

The scientific potential of the Department of Marketing is focused on the study and determination of the ways to increase the efficiency of food industry enterprises in market conditions.

In the area of scientific activity, the Department of Marketing cooperates closely with the International Institute CEDIMES. It gives the possibility to share constantly the experience with 60 countries of the world.

The results of the research work of the Department staff are published in such journals and collections of scientific papers as «Scientific Works of National University of Food Technologies», «Formation of Market Relations in Ukraine», «Economy and the State (Ukraine)», Institute CEDIMES Scientific Issues etc.

1934

The Department of organization, planning and management of food industry, which trained planning engineers was established.

1994

Training of specialists in Management of Organization started. For some time this Department was graduating for students.

1997

Training in Marketing specialty started.

1998

The Department was renamed into the Department of Marketing.

2007

Training of specialists in Human Resources Management and Labor Economics started. For some time this Department was graduating for students.

2008

Training of specialists in Merchandising and Commercial Business started. For some time this Department was graduating for students.

2013

Training of specialists in Advertising and Public Relations was started.
