No matter if a person is an expert in economics or not, the real economic problems affect the interests of everybody. Real professionals must not only understand their essence deeply but also make optimal decisions consciously.
The Department of Economic Theory provides the necessary basic training for the following disciplines of the theoretical and economic cycle: ‘Economic Theory’, ‘Political Economy’, ‘Economics’, ‘Global Economy’, ‘Market Economy’, ‘Economics’, ‘Economic Theory’, ‘The Basis of Economic Theory’.
While gaining knowledge the students are accompanied by the lecturers of the Department – highly qualified professionals who manage students’ scientific work, the result of which is joint scientific publications, reports of young scientists at students’ scientific conferences, participation in competitions in economic theory.
The Department creates all the necessary conditions to ensure a high level of theoretical training of future specialists, forming their market-oriented economic outlook, knowledge base for the study of applied professional disciplines, which are based on economic theory.
As part of the implementation of European integration aspirations and Ukraine's participation in the global labor market, the Department of Economic Theory takes part in English-language bachelor programs and provides English language education starting from the first year for full-time students.
Lecturers of the Department are actively engaged in vocational guidance and educational work.
The purpose of the department: the implementation of educational activities aimed at fundamental economic training of specialists of corresponding educational-qualification levels in accordance with the standards of higher education and the requirements of the Bologna process, the formation of creative and professional personality for practical and scientific activities.
The Department Credo: professional and personal self-improvement, self-education and self-development, involvement in the University life, search activity, high professionalism, taking initiative, high demands to themselves and students.
