    In order to fully promote the development of personality, the university has a department of physical education, whose activities are an important component of the overall program of personal development of future professionals, focused on physical education and student development in accordance with society and future profession.

    The staff of the department, located in one of the best sports complexes in Kyiv, has created favorable conditions for the realization of sports potential of students. The sports complex acts sports and gym halls, a modern swimming pool, many sports sections for all tastes.

    Teachers of the department annually organize a comprehensive sports contest of the university in popular sports among students, competitions in certain sports among students and faculty, train and prepare for city, national and international competitions of different levels of national teams in mini-football, basketball, football, volleyball, swimming, etc.

    SCIENTIFICALLY-RESEARCH WORK AT THE DEPARTMENT IS CARRIED OUT ON THE TOPIC:

    «Theoretical-methodical foundations of sports and meanse of physical education to improve the efficiency of different groups population».

    The purpose of scientifically-research work: analysis of theoretical-methodical foundations of sports and meanse of physical education to improve to improve the efficiency of the population.

    Indicators of scientific activity of the department are the preparation of scientific works, the results of which are actively published in scientific journals and editions, presented at International and All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conferences.

    1930-1937 the department was headed by Prudkyy A.I.
    1944-1945 the department was headed by Chertov O.O.
    1945-1953 the department was headed by Ilin V.M.
    1953-1956 the department was headed by Lyustin G.E.
    1956-1963 the department was headed by Kovturman S.A.
    1964-1983 the department was headed by associate professor Kulchytskyy O.P.
    1983-1986 the department was headed by the honored master of sports of the international class in volleyball, the champion of the world and Olympic games Poyarkov Y.M.
    1986-1993 the department was headed by candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, master of sports of international class in water polo Zyemtsov Y.F.
    1993-2002 the department was headed by candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, master of sports in bicycle sports Makedon A.A.
    1998 opened a sports complex, in which functioned: specialized game hall for playing mini-football, specialized game hall for playing basketball and volleyball and other species sports
    2002-2012 the department was headed by associate professor Dovhych O.V.
    at the end of 2009 put into operation a swimming pool in the sports complex
    from 2012 to the present the department is headed by candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor Pavlyuk I.S.
